To configure the J-Link/J-Trace adapter for Flash download:

1. Choose Flash — Configure Flash Tools ... from the menu, to open the Project — Options for Target — Utilities dialog.
2. Enable Use Target Driver for Flash Programming and select Cortex-M/R J-LINK/J-Trace.
3. Optionally, enable Update Target before Debugging to program the Flash ROM whenever the debugger is started. The download is processed only when the binary was updated since the last Flash programming step (this feature is to avoid unnecessary reprogramming sequences).
   • When switching between µVision instances, use the explicit 'Load' button to ensure that the image of the current target is downloaded to Flash.
   • When disabled and the application was not downloaded manually to Flash, you can enable the option Options for Target - Debug - Settings - Debug - Verify Code Download to ensure program correlation between the target system and the µVision debugger.
4. Click Settings to open the Target Driver Setup dialog. Available configuration options are explained in Target Driver Settings section in µVision User's Guide.
